Organization

The Oregon Progress Board is an independent board created by the Legislature in 1990 to monitor the state's 20-year strategic vision, Oregon Shines, and keep it current. The 12 member panel, chaired by the Governor and made up of citizen leaders, reflects the state's social, ethnic and political diversity.

Due to the budget crisis, the Progress Board was defunded for the 2009-11 biennium.  However, HB 3199 (2009), Sections 18-22, authorizes a separate Progress Board Fund and the Board to enter into an operating agreement with other organizations.
