Description Perennial; flowers June to August. Grows 4 to 18 inches tall with extensive creeping rootstocks. Leaves lanceolate, coarsely toothed and deeply lobed. Flowers inconspicuous and yellow. Fruit a light brown bur with spines. Impacts Skeletonleaf bursage grows in cultivated fields, pastures and waste areas in several western states and survives under varied soil moisture conditions. Distribution in Oregon This species is not yet known to occur in Oregon. Biological controls Biological control agents are not used on "A" listed weeds in Oregon.
