| ODA staffs Eastern Oregon pesticides office |

The Oregon Department of Agriculture announces the hiring of Doni Clair to staff its Eastern Oregon pesticides field office located in Baker City and serving Baker, Wallowa, Union, Grant, Harney and Malheur counties. In addition to being the regional investigator for ODA's Pesticides Division, Clair will be able to respond to walk-in customers at the office located at 3000 Broadway in Baker City. The office, which also offers pesticide fact sheets, licensing brochures, and other information, is generally open Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. except for those times when Clair is responding to issues in the field. Prior to accepting the position, Clair had been a water quality specialist for ODA's Natural Resources Division since 2006 and had previously worked for the four Baker County soil and water conservation districts for nearly five years.
ODA's Pesticides Division enforces both state and federal pesticide regulations including the registration, distribution, marketing, and use of pesticides. Complaints of alleged misuse of pesticides are handled by investigators.
